I'll try to find some info Pete. Mine is a 1936 model. I think there were some mixes with the Z in 1936-37. You said it was a M-M Z engine, not a Waukesha right?

MoPower, If it's not a Waukeshaw engine couldn't that tractor be made to pull some what like an mm r I think the weight would be about right As far as hp goes stock is ? 30-34hp and up. I beleive the weight is less than a Z and not much more than a R let me know if I'm off on these numbers but I donn't think I am. SeeYa

My 37 JTU weighs #5500 with cast centers on front and rear, 2 weights on each rear, new 13.9x36 Firestones, power lift, battery electrics, and me on it "190#". Good 206, it'll pull 3x14" anywhere.

John, Do you have fluid in those tires? It weights almost 1100# more than my ZTU.

No fluid, I think the cast wheel centers make that difference, they're heavy, I have to add 2 weights, #200 total, to keep the frontend on the ground under a heavy load.

Its worth whatever you paid for it. Be happy. JTs-I assume yours is a JTU-were made in the thirties. If they are not listed here under the serial number reference, look on www.minneapolis-moline.com
Charlie Doty (princeton Il) is a wealth of info on these tractors. 815-875-4761.
A guy said a couple months ago that piston rings are same as MM Zs. I found out value built has carb kits-order one for a Case C with 7124 zenith carb.
P.S. If you can't find manifold gaskets, you can get enough rings out of 2 sets of exhaust gaskets for a small block Chevy to make do. Just use the ring over the hole and cut the tabs off.
