I saw a picture of a BG painted like yours-Did you buy it on Ebay? or some other internet site? I'm pretty sure it should be all prairie gold except the red wheels. I'll let some expert tell you which shade-there's at least three. All the correct grilles on BG's that I have seen were rippled metal with tiny holes in it. Kinda like a John Deere AR.
This is the same grille that came on Avery R's as far as I know. They probably should be yellow like the rest of the tractor, but Mom's is red and it looks cool. This is not to confuse the Avery model R with the Avery model B.F. these tractors had grilles with horizontal bars. (There were at least 2 styles of these B.F. grilles, too, early and late.) The choke cable is basicaly the same choke as many old tractors used. Its like an old lawnmower throttle cable, with a knob on the end. Although the one on Mom's tractor is original, you can get a pretty good substitute at NAPA. I had a throttle cable made for mine at Joint and Clutch in Charlotte, NC. Its a bit oversize and if I did it over again I'd go with 3/16" cable. Mine's 1/4". Since Bill Williams has cables, I'd check with him. If you're using yours with a 3-point disk, remember there's only a thin line between brave and foolish. Front weights were offered: an offset bracket/plate affair bolted to the bracket that carries the front axle pivot. It was offset so it would come out under the lower front trim piece. Up to three rectangular weights could be stacked on this bracket. (probably 100-125 lbs.) I've only seen pictures of this setup.
