Weird offer to buy my '47 UTI

"Hello Jon, Thanks for your correspondence and for the briefing about the tractor.Am in urgent need of the tractor.I will take it for $1,000 .Am okay with that price.Consider the tractor already sold to me.I would have love to come down and inspect it but am presently out of State on a seminar.As soon as i saw your advertised for sale,i had to get across to one of my business associates in USA
telling him i've got the tractori'm searching for and that he should make my funds {$6000}available in payment of some fuel equipments i supplied to him.He assured me he would make the payments (cashier check)
available. I would instruct him to get the cashier check across to you (ASAP) and as soon as you receive the payments i would want you to get it cashed
immediately.As soon as you are through with this you would need to deduct your amount of ($1,000 ) from the total of ($6000 ) and send the balance of ($5000) to my reputable shipper via western union money transfer who would be coming over for the pickup of the tractor and my other consignment once the check is cleared. So i will need your Full Name,Mailing Address And Phone Number so
i can send it to him {my associate} to send the payment right away.My
shipper (Today's Shipping) would be responsible for the pick up.Hope
to hear from you."

So, has anyone else had offers like this one? This is one of two offers from different folks that were essentially the same. Please let me know. Oh, I have no intention of taking my cut and passing the rest to a shipper. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience?

I too received the same offer. I told the guy that whatever amount you send me is what you will be paying for what you are buying. Also told them that the check must clear my bank before I release anything to anyone. I never got a response back, and it was fun to screw with them for a change.
