I think I have a 1940's Minn. Moline tractor that I would like to find some info on. My father always told me it was one of the first little cub or farmall type tractors Moline made. Can anyone tell me how to find out the age of this tractor or find any info on it?

sorry guys came home from my trip and tractor was gone, if you seen it you would not have wanted it cab was homemade and there was nothing left to the motor. Roland

If what you have is an Avery, the serial # will be STAMPED into the top of the framerail on the righthand side in the bellhousing area. Our V has a serial # of 6V-652, making it a '52, I believe the BF #s begin with the letter R, hope this helps.

From your description I believe it may be a model BF or a model V avery. Moline bought B.F. Avery and Sons and used a couple of their tractors under the MM name. They were a Cub or Farmall B type tractor. They will have a rounded grill and a Hercules motor I think. Some more knowledgable fellas could tell you where to find a serial number. The only other small tractor was an R but it was significantly bigger than a Cub. These Avery tractors were made in the fifties.

hi are r's very popular? I have one with lp and a cab, my wife wants me to get it out of the yard, she has flowers planted in it, it has been off the ground and we take it in for winter.
