Does anyone make a rebuild kit for a 445 oil pump?

You mean you actually have one worn out?

I guess you can find the gears and other parts NOS, but I've never seen one worn out.

I'm not really sure if it is worn out or not, I rebuilt the whole engine top to bottom, figured it would not be a bad idea to rebuild the pump too. I have been working on the engine for about a year. I hope I don't have rebuild the pump, I could probably save myself a $100.00, no probably $300.00, nothing costed what I thought it would.
Is there a way to check the pump?

Actually, when you remove it, you have most pieces exposed. I disassemble the relief valve and clean everything up. If you take the oil pressure adjustment screw out, be sure to take note of how far it is screwed into the housing. It needs to be close to make sure you build enough oil pressure. The only time I replaced a gear was when I encountered one that was chipped.
I'm thinking you want .002-.004 end clearance on the gears when you reassemble the pump, with the gaskets in place. (check your manual)
I usually just check it with a feeler gauge across the oil pump body with the gaskets on top of it. you just stack gaskets up 'til you get within the proper clearance, then put it on.
Some gasket sets don't come with enough oil pump gaskets in them any more, though.
