Not for sure but I think it is a 40�s U??..... Anyone know what this is? It has been in our family for a lot of years.

I can see your picture just fine. I can tell you it is not a UB. It had to have been a special order because of the wheatland fenders and dual wheels. It looks to have the D283-4a diesel motor as well and looks to be crossed with the military version UTIL-M which at this point I think is it. But I could be wrong. A very interesting piece of equipment you have.

It sounds more like a 50's model UB special. If you post the serial numbers on the tractor engine and the on eon the transmission "by th ebrake pedals on the right side then we can tell for sure. Is the steering column in the center of the tractor or off to one side? Are the engine side curtains louvered or not?

Well I see the pic thing didn't work. It is a 4 cyl. diesel tractor. The front end looks like a U but the side panels are different from the other U's that I have seen. It is a Wheatland style tractor.

If you copy and paste the link without the img boxes you can see the tractor. I'll get the serial numbers and post them. The duals my dad added right after we bought it. I think they where off an International. Maybe a WD-9? Steering wheel is over to the side and the seat swivels so you can stand or sit and drive. A few years back we tried to get some diesel filters for it and a local Bosch dealer just laughed. Finally found some at a NAPA store that was NOS.

Gary I think that your MM U is really a UTSD-M built (for Turkey) because of it using the inline injector pump i have seen three that use that style of pump on them. all the others use a rotary pump on them. the serial number should start with 10800???

Mark, I was my second guess as well. It just has that look. The Postma Brothers had thos etwo at one time, But I just never got to see them up close.

Looks like you guys are right on the money. After removing 1/4 inch of oily dirt, the serial number is 10800345. Which would make it a 1957 I think. So is it a very rare MM with the inline pump? Wonder how it made it to Oklahoma? Thanks for all the help. BTW...we also have a G1000 Wheatland LPG that has the yellow/dyna brown paint job and a Meade cab.

It makes it rare for the fact that it was to go to Turkey and ended up down in Oklahoma instead. I feel any out of the normal tractor numbers and models are more of a rare or collector one then any of the rest, or at least the stand out. No doubt a real keeper.
