Why does my Z die?

I have a ZTU with a magneto.
All wiring is new, and is the proper type, the mag was professionaly tested. It has a new condensor. Recent carb overhaul, fresh gas.
It starts fairly hard but runs great when it fires up.
After it warms up it develops an occasional miss. In another 30 minutes it misses quite noticably. After an hour it will die and not restart with the starter, but will start when pulled. Then it goes through the same pattern.
What is going on here?

Hunch is your magneto's coil is failing when it gets hot. check for a spark immediately after it dies.
Also, if its hard to start, when starting, can you hear the impulse 'click' as the engine turns over?
probaby when you pull it, the fan cools it some, then you get spark back for a while.
