I pull a dead weight sled, and when i have practiced in the past i use 2nd or third gear, most sucsessfully 3rd gear. So just get the rpm's up and let'er rip? or mid range rpms? just looking for tips like that also. thanks guys!

I have been pulling a UTS for 1 year and here is a little something I stumbled onto, a wheatland tractor is front heavy, so I lengthened my drawbar 10 inches and that puts more weight on the rear, front end will come off the ground a little and it would not do it before, I beleive that it has helped.

Are you guys using cut tires or not? I have a hard time keeping the front of my UTS on the ground.

I agree that a UTS is front heavy. any weight should be added either ahead or behind the rear axle. I've seen UTU's that did well with almost all their weight just behind the bell housing joint.

I have my weights mounted right in front of the rear wheels and some smaller weights in front of the seat, there's just not any room to put weights behind the wheels.
