I have a m504 i got a few years ago. Was sold to me as a m5. It has a wide front. Would like to put front wheel drive back on. Are they all the same. or did they make more then one?

M 504s are very rare. They were only built one year and only 31 units total. They all had the same front end which was different than the 604. I am not certain but it may have been the same front that was on the G704 and early G706. If you are missing the transfer case, some collectors have been getting reproductions made and even converting non-FWA tractors with them. The new transfer cases seem to be very well made. If you can locate one of those collectors, they will likely be able to point you tawards the resources you will need to put it back as a 504. Good luck!
