I bought a GB lpg from a guy who failed to tell
me 3 inches of ring gear teeth were missing. It
arrived and starts fine when it starts from good
teeth, but quite often it stops where there are
no teeth and the sound is real bad. How much work
to replace the ring gear/flywheel am I looking at?
Also the clutch is very jumpy. Are these parts
available and from where. Thanks 'roids.

Ring gear changes like most: split tractor, remove flywheel, remove ring gear, heat new (or better) ring gear, drop on when it cools it'll be tight.

Your clutch problem could be: grease on the linings, extremely worn linings, or a cracked plate in the clutch assembly. Also a lot of slack in the assembly-worn pivots, worn yokes & pins on the throwout bearing can make one pretty jumpy, cause there is no way to 'feather' the clutch from "out" to "in"

Thanks for the info. I'll get started when the
weather warms up.
