1948 MM UTIL need help with the brakes,is there internal and external adustments?

I looked at my parts book and an operator manual and apparrently there are 2 kinds of brakes:

The early UTI's used drum brakes on the axle and the very last UTI's used disk brakes, probably the same as a GB.

For the early UTI, jack up the wheel, disconnect the linkage from the pedal, loosen the eccentric locknut 1 turn, turn the eccentric in the direction the wheels turn until you can tell the top shoe is dragging on the drum. (The eccentric should be located at the top of the back plate)
Back off the eccentric until no dragging is noted, then adjust the shoes through the slot in the rearmost side of the back plate. Adjust out until the shoes drag the drum, then back off just enough they don't. Then reconnect the linkage, take up any slack with the clevises.
