Does anyone know is a hydraulic pump from a UTS will work on a 1948 ZTU? It is the style of pump with the round housing.
I would like to put remotes on my Z, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most U pumps have a drive flange on the shaft that mates with the magneto drive flange on the water pump shaft. It is right next to the body of the pump.
The Z pump has a shaft that is long enough to carry a gear, the gear mates with the large gear on the camshaft.
externally, they are similar. Although, side by side you may discover the U pump center section (where the gear and rotor run) is a little longer.
