Rearend locked up ?

Have a G VI that was fine when parked has set 5 or 6 years ? was in side and now the rearend is locked up any help on what to look for ? don t know much about G VI

You don't mention where you are, is it below freezing? That can cause the same problem, just a thought.

No its warm here motor turns over hasen't run it ? but have pulled it feels like it shifts gears but both tires just slide took brakes off still dosent turn

Mike, I'm just trying for the easy fixes, have you tried to push it backwards? The brakes could be stuck, I think it has discs, the ball or balls could be rusted on the ramp, maybe a tug backward would free it.

Had taken the brakes of and they were ok Left them off and pulled it forwards and backwards ? Going to have to take top off trans and look in side

I think that is the right avenue to take, it sure sounds like you've got the tractor in 2 gears.

If you parked it on a hill, the gears could have slid into wrong position. This happened to a farmll H I had.
