I have posted an ad in the classifieds section. Run a search for Minneapolis Moline. Any help on locating MM implements will be greatly appreciated. These are for my personal collection.

Thanks Roger.

There is a small dealer in Villard Minnesota which is a couple of hours or a little more northwest of Minneapolis. When I drove thorugh there about 3 years ago, I think he had between 15 and 25 Minneapolis Moline tractors sitting on the lot in different stages of condition aw well as a few other Minneapolis Moline items.

Dean, you are correct on that one. The place is Villard Implement Co. Phone number there is 1-888-554-3111. They have probably 10-15 Molines, in various conditions, have some old implements too. They are pretty knowledgeable about them, as they used to sell them new. It is just a few miles from my house, so I get there quite often. Where are you at in MN, Dean?

I bought a house in Rosemount this past April which is about 5 miles from the mall of America in Bloomington. I actually grew up near Albert Lea on a small Dairy farm. One of my friends, Tom Johnson has a cabin or maybe I should say his dad has a cabin on the lake there. It was fun to drive through and look at the old machines though. My dad had a ZB Moline and a 3/14 plow when I was small. Also used a UB as a loaner when our 70 JD diesel was getting repaired.

Hey Roger,
I just posted a ad in the photo section for a M.M. sickle mower for a friend of mine. Its missing some parts but could complete another or be completed itself. You might want to take a looks. We had it listed on ebay with a starting bid of $50.00
Thanks

Roger, I enjoy seeing the old implements with the tractors. I've got a two row cult. for my MTA and most of the pieces for a three row for my KT. We've also got some of the implements and two years ago Dad drilled about 40 acres of beans with an old steel wheel MM Drill. How many of you plows are rope?? We have 2,3,4,5 bottom trip plows. Good Luck in your search. Mike

The one bottom is a lever lift, it is horse drawn. All of the 2 bottoms are trip rope. Most of the 3 & 4 are trip rope, a few are Hyd. lift. I prefer the trip lift for plowing, less to mess with. However I prefer the Hyd lifts for shows. They are easier to lock in the up position and I think they are safer.

Larry,

Do you have one on steel? Would you trade it for one on rubber? I may know where there is one, but I don't know if it is on steel or rubber.

Joe

If I find one I'll let you know. I have several replies and am on the trail of several implements.
Still no reply on the rollover plow, but there is still hope.

Hello,

I am in Kansas and am actively seeking several Minneapolis Moline implements as well.
I do LOTS of traveling and would be happy to join forces with you in finding what you are looking for. Together, we should be able to find what we are looking for much easier.
Email me at [email protected]

Thanks

I am in Winfield Kansas. I have most of the normal stuff, some a little odd, but would like to add more. I have a QMA Wheat Lister, Pull Swather that the sickle register is 2 (each section goes past 2 gaurds). I consider these somewhat odd. I am looking for the 3, 4 or 5 foot sweeps and rod weeder attachment for the QMA tool bar. Finding a Dammer Diker is little more than a dream. Since I have 5 of the MM drills, I would like to find the 2 drill hitch that MM offered. In Line Baler, Swather, Manure Spreader for my Uni, I have most of the rest for it. I find that implements will draw as much attention at a show as tractors, and after you have looked at so many brand X tractors it is nice to see something else. I have enough plows for a Plowing Day, but wold like to have something different like a Roll over (not a Tumble Bug)

Roger, What is it that you call a dammer diker? I have a moline ridger plow on steel is that what you are calling it? It can be spread apart to make a ridge or far apart to make hills for potatoes and things. Then you can reverse the two blades and cut ditches with it.

Dammer Diker. This was pulled behind the tractor, usually mounted to the tractor so it would not move side to side. 4 or 6 rows. Each row had a paddle or wheel with 3 paddles that looked like a shovel. As the soil built up underneath the shovel it would trip the release mechainisam much the same as a hay baler knotter worked. The wheel would rotate leaving a dam in the furrow. It worked like a lister, only it made a small dam every 5 to 10 feet depending on how it was set. They were used in dry land areas to help hold rain water. The soil had to be light and easy to work. If you watch the MM movies you will see one from time to time. Always a short clip and hardly mentioned. This is a specialty tool sold in dryland areas. I am guessing they were a high wear item.
