I received some back issue of Tractor Shop magazine yesterday. The December issue had a really nice article on the G 1000 in it written by a former MM sales manager. Well worth the read. I'd never heard of the HD 800 engine transplants before.

that works great but you have to use the 800 motor with the small bellhousing

That was a good article, I really enjoy the articles they run on tractors that aren't quite antiques and aren't new. I hope to see more articles from them about Minnies and other tractors of that era.
