John has taken time to answer so many questions and sent me much information in the past year. It is good to know someone who values the Prarie Gold legend so much and is willing to help us fellas out. Thanks! I offer help whenever I can. Lots of good MM folks out there and John sets a fine example.

That's enough of this bs, I'm only doing what Wilbert Kirchner, Charlie Doty, and SOOOOO many other guys did for me when I didn't know a U from a R back in 1988. Just so happens that I have a "confuser" and access to so many more people. Kevin M. and I are talking about possibily of organizing an Illinois "chapter" of the MM Collectors, somewhat like the guys in Washington state, and the Homestead, IA guys, and the Siouxland guys, anyone who is interested, we'd like to hear from you. We welcome any people from neighboring states as well, IL is just an informal boundry, just like to promote PRAIRIE GOLD. Hope to see some of you at the MMCI winter show, I'll be around the '52 MM V selling raffle tickets.

John, an Illinois chapter would be nice. Being in mid-Michigan makes it difficult to attend many MMC shows. In fact Illinois will be my first MMC show. Most things I go to are Indiana and Ohio by Prarie Gold Rush (another very fine group). Keep up the good work! I would like to meet Charlie some day. I look forward to finding you and Kevin at the show and bringing your MM/Jacobsen parts.

Ethan

Living in Australia, and being part of a very small collectors circle, (MM's being very much a minoirty here) it's always good to log on and see what is on for discussion concerning MM's. Guys like John G (and quite a few others) seem to go out of their way to help others, it's always a good feeling to return the favour to someone who needs assistance in restoring or just curious about MM's. It's a bit hard for me in Australia to offer my two pennies worth, as mostly you blokes in the USA are right there, you have the contacts, and the abundance of tractors for sale and show and also the direct links of people who worked for MM or sold and serviced them, this is all very valuable information, and MUST be passed on to those who care to play around with the product that MM/Twin City made, so keep up the good work!
