I have a 2-150 white and i am looking to overhaul it. Wondering if anyone has any tips and places to find new parts. It is bored .030 over and I am thinking about sleeving it back to standard. any help will be apreciated thank you

Kevin, I just rebuilt a 585 bored it .060. In the process stumbled onto another tractor with 585, purchased it, have not even got home yet. Which I am sure it will need overhauled also. I also was sticker shocked on the AGCO pistons. So in within the past month I contacted a manufacture who will build me pistons with steel top groove, keystone or square rings, pins, keepers and rings for less than 60% of Agco piston list price. And I have just boxed up my sample piston to send to them. I am sure I could order more. I also can say I looked for a block for my last one and found one that had been dry sleeved it was terribly out of round and had slipped down probably .060 - .090. So I would have to advise no also. What bore size are you needing. I would sell you new Federal mogul .020 Main bearings worth the money

Kevin, I can connect you with a great 585 guy. Doug Henderson. He can tell you anything you need to know. I am pretty sure there are some serious issues with sleeving MMs and the 585 has it's quirks. I have had it done on a 336, but the motor won't be worked hard and it isn't together yet. E-mail me and I can pass on how to contact Doug.

What issues are there about sleeving an MM? Just curious. I just had one cylinder on my G706 done and I'm looking at having my Vista done the same way, both are 504 diesels. I had a step left in the bottom of the jug and had the sleeve ran in from the top then decked the whole thing. Do you think there still might be a problem?

When you sleeve the 504 diesels they have a tendancy to crack to the center bolt hole in the deck. If you can find them get some G 900 blocks and bore them to the standard or oversize for the 504 they are the same block just not bored out as big. The 585 blocks are extremely thin down about the middle of the block and have been known to blow out at .060 when used with a turbo.

Yeah, that is what I was refering to. I know there were some issues with sleeves moving and cracks from the step at the bottom of the cylinder. Yet, I know a few old machines that are just fine. Good luck in your projects guys and let everyone know how things turn out!
