Carl,
Your UB Special is a 1955 (only year gas/LP were made - 1475 total). The main difference is the front end. It had interchangable front ends. One tractor could be equipped with a narrow front, single front or adjustable wide front. The regular UB required different front nose castings to accomodate the different front end styles. The UB Special could also be equipped with power steering like what was used on the later 5 Star (which replaced the UB series). The Specials also had the flat 2 piece grill like the ZA/ZB or GTB/GB series of tractors. There are other minor differences between the UB and UB Special but I'd have to reference the parts books to remember them. Your UB # 05801567 is a 1953 model and # 05803491 is a 1954 model. Your other U is a 1951. The difference between it and the UBs should be quite obvious in the UB's higher operator platform, centered steering wheel and foot clutch. The UB Special is probably the most desireable to collectors out of the bunch given it was only made 1 year in gas/LP (it was made from 1955-57 in diesel).
