I have a chose between a 1950-GTB on LP or 1950GTB on gas, the LP has GE30-Z heads and the gas has GE30-A heads. Witch tractor would be better in a fairly stock pull, our club will let a GTB have 70 hp. I will be pulling against some tuff tractors ,W9 ,55Massey R John Deere. It will take 2500 to buy the GTB on gas, the LP will be on a auction this spring. Witch one would be easyer to tweak and come up with 70 HP. thanks

Either one should do 70 HP if tuned up and in good mechanical condition. I put an electronic ignition with a high tension coil on my gasoline tractor and it really came alive.

A GTB on LP with GE30Z, (same as 4210) heads will be 70+ hp as it is and it will lug great. If you change to gas heads you will probably need longer head bolts and longer pushrods as the gas head is taller. If you leave it on LP,(depending on what part of the country you live in) you will have someting uniques as well.

I have a gas 1950 GTB and it is stock and have done alright with it! I would think either tractor would be a good choice just depends on which fuel type you wish to fool around with more then anything I would think.
