My Z 1952? hyd. cyl. drops after 8 to 10 minutes. It is connected to an after market/homemade style 3pt. Is it normal for it to drop? I recently changed trans fluid recently, so I know it has enough fluid.

I don't see what transmission fluid has to do with it. The hydraulic system and the transmission are separate systems on a '52 Z.

What I would suggest is to take the 1-1/4" plug off the right side of the hydraulic reservoir under the gas tank and check the level. It should be up to the hole.

If that is O.K., problem could be the cylinder O-ring, or it could be the check valve in the hump on the side of the cylinder.

Is this unloaded, or do you have something on the 3-point?
