Look in MM archives dated 2/17/02 " Engine Conversions " fellow by name of Merlin Stephens ,a mechanic, at Cummins North Central in St. Paul MN has converted about 48 different tractors to Cummins engines . He mentions a Cummins B series 5.9 liter specifically for a G 1000. Good Luck

can anyone help with information on this post in the archives 02/17/02. I need to check out repowering a G1000 and G1355. I t is getting very expensive to rebuild my tractors and the time involved ties up the farm shop for extended time.

Love the MM's. The first arrived in 1945 and they are the only tractors to power our heavy equipment for the last 50+ years.

Thanks for any help keeping "Yellow power" running.

Yeah I know big bro. but theres got to be someone that knows something. I was thinking it might be like an old triple head cummins, with model numbers that are the rated horsepower.

Somewhere in the archives there is a name of a fella in Minnesota someplace who has done it several times (swapped a B series Cummins into a g 1000) I have his name and number written down at work if u are serious.
