Yes they are pump motors I am going to put one in a 335. Will the carb. from the 165 work? Do I have many options for carb.

I am currently running a TSX 97 from a Z in a Jetstar3super with 220. Its out of a U302, but pretty much the same engine. You should also be able to use a TSX 633, TSX 713. The last 2 numbers will also have the correct throttle arm on the throttle shaft.

If you have to use a Z carb, get a kit for one of the other numbers and it will have the correct throttle shaft.

I think you will find fuel problems with the original 335 carb. at certain speeds with all the extra cubic inches. All those extra cubic inches add up to that much more cubic feet of air the carb has to mix fuel with.

You may have to remove the metering jet in the bowl just above the main nozzle.

Since you're doing something this radical, from 30 hp to 50+ I don't expect you're going to use the air cleaner, but if you want one, you might want to use one from a jetstar, 4star or 445. A diesel air cleaner would be even better, but probably hard to find.

9.2:1 gotta be Lp. 8.2:1 is pushing it for regular gasoline. My 78 chevy has 8.4:1 and it knocks on 87 octane.
