I'm writing this for an older gent with no computer. Mebbe he's smarter than the rest of us...Anyway, he has a circa 1939 MM Industrial tractor. Believed to be a "Z" and having a R100 number for the rear main tranny case. Engine # is 0175001902 and a second tag says CYLEE. The engine is 4 cyl with a 3 5/8" bore. I got some help on another board but we would like to pin the ID of this tractor down a little closer so he can order manuals, etc. Thanks and best of Holidays to the Board. Gary

Gary,

Sounds like your friend has an RT tractor of one type or another. The engine serial number comes from an EE engine used in the R, of 1950 vintage. The casting number of RT 100 on the transmission case also shows it to be an R. Look for the serial number tag on the right side of the transmission case. If the tractor has a foot clutch it is probably an RTI of 1950 vintage. Hope this helps.

Jim

RT100 is the casting number for an R (any style) main transmission case. There should be another tag on the right hand side of that casting, near where the belt pulley is installed.
