I believe these were built during the mid 1930s and I don't know much about them and was wondering if parts are hard to find for these?

I'm going to pass on this JT even though its running and has a planter attached. I think I'd rather have a R or Z model. I can provide info on this tractor and the seller if anyone is interested. Price was $1500.

My '37 JTU has the RE, "Z" engine in it, I have a factory pamplet describing the installation of the "RE" engine in the JTU, JTS tractors. Charlie Doty IS the best source for the Waukesha engine and some of the tractor parts. He does not have a computer, priceless info in person!!!!

J's were made from 1934-1937. Lots of the transmission parts were shared with later Z's if I am not mistaken. The engine is unique to that tractor and was made by Waukesha. Engine parts might be hard to come by, especially a good manifold. I've been told that Charlie Doty is a good parts source for these tractors. 815-875-4761.

Kelvin,

Thanks for the note. I thought there was an engine difference which make me wonder about parts availability. I wonder if a Z or R would be a better choice.

Hey LeRoy, I am building something similar to a J out of spare junk ZT and JT parts. Depending on what you need, I might be able to locate some parts for you. I met some nice guys with JTs. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. I need a front end yet, but trying to find one cheap is a different story.

I drove thourgh a little town of Volare or Voshon aor something similar to that a few years ago and is located between Sauk Center and Starbuck Minnesota. They had a dealer with a large selection of old Minneapolis Tractors.
