Does anyone know if there is a head rebuild kit for a 1956 206H engine? Where can I get it ? Valves, valve seats, seals, and guides. What can I substitute if I cannot get the parts? I read awhile back that someone used small block GM valves in a U.

I use small block Chevy exhaust valves in the 206 engines for both exhaust & intake. They are not much bigger than the original so don't have to be cut down too much. The length is correct. they fit the R & Z as well as the 335, 445, 4 Star, Jet Star, Jet Star 2, Jet Star 3, U302, Big Mo 400, 500 & 600. Use the one piece teflon seals on the intakes.

The Chevy valves fit the 206 FLATHEAD engines in the ZA ZB, don't know about the 206 used in the later 445/4 Star, which is an overhead valve engine. Almost any of the parts suppliers on the MM page can supply the parts. Email me if you haven't found any supplier. John
