I think there is a reproduction 5 position switch that will work that is available from John Deere. It works O.K. in the larger MM's, Its a little larger than the old switch so I don't know if it'll fit in a V's box or not.

I don't know which model Deere though, I think that switch was used on the 40, 420, 430.

There are 2 types of the switch, 1 has 2 resistors on the back and the other has only 1. If your V is still running the cutout generator, you'll need the switch with 2 resistors, I think.

When you say the 'plate' I assume you want the aluminum plate that the indicator on the switch handle points to. They're probably available used, I'd contact Welters 417-498-6496 or Everetts 740-922-3335. The Mohrs (MM Corresponder) had some decals made like that plate to use if you can't find one. Sorry, don't have their phone number.
