I have two complete hydraulic units. One is on the tractor the other is a spare.Same problem on both units.I cannot properly enter the compound bend supply tube into the hyd.valve block due to misalignment of the holes. The end plate hole is offset almost 1/16" from the opening in the valve body. All four studs are straight.when attempting to push the supply pipe into place the O-ring is cut on every attempt.I see no way to solve this situation except to thin the studs to allow side movement. Is anyone else familiar with a similar problem.I have tried entering just into the end plate alone but cannot hold a seal.First time pressure is applied, the the tube is forced out and I get an oil bath. Also I am in need of a new or good used oil tube if one is available

Hey fellows ;Thanks a lot for this info.I have been puzzled over this situation for a long time .I sure agree with using all four hands to assemble this unit.I have been told that this system was designed by Grumman Aircraft, hydraulic engineers.I can believe it,having seen some of the other non aircraft things they designed.Prior to hearing the above I thought the system was built by Boob McNut.I have great respect for M-M and own five of them but the tela flow system is a problem. Thanks again. Ol Chief

The outer cover plate holds the tube in, and o-ring seals it. Kinda a dumb set-up to me. What's wrong with some good ole threads, hey? I had this problem on my 670 with leaking and spraying. I got a new type o-ring from Hawk's Garage called a Quad-ring to seal it. It's supposed to work better than reg o-ring and has 4 little seal surfaces on it. I never changed before selling, but no one told me I didn't have to take cover fully off at time or I might have tried it. I got a gasket for cover too, but that wont work w/out cover all the way off. Tele-flo....not the best system to work on for sure!

335, 445, Jet Star, 5 Star & early M5 were all designed this the way yours is, with the holes offset so the plate holds the tube in by not allowing the shoulder on the fitting on the end to come through the hole in the front plate. The easiest way to assemble is to, with all 4 of your hands, put the tube in place in the valve body with the front plate loose on the tube, then put the front plate with all the springs in place over the studs.

Hey Old Chief send me and email and I will fax you the page to tell you how to do this. Basicly you push pipe through plate when plate is 1/2 inch from block then into block hole, then push plate up to block. The being out of alignment is what hold pipe in
