G705 (MF97) Transmission trouble

Saturday I went to get out my MF97 to plow with. When I parked it last fall I had left it in 3rd gear. When I shifted it out to neutral it shifted OK but just felt different. I backed it out and let it run a while , but when I went to shift it back to 3rd or 5th , It wouldnt go.All other gears work perfect. It will go across Ok but it just seems like the shift rail is stuck. I took the shifter out and looked in the hole and everything looked like it should. Does anyone have any ideas about what may have happened ? Looks like quite a project to get the trans cover off..... .....Thanks
