Hi guys, who knows the tractor lbs. and the diesel engine torque at maximum RPM?

Well I was hoping someone else would help you Larry, but I will take a stab at it. My Moline book says that the G-1050 weighs in at around 11,000 pounds. The engine would have been the 504 diesel with the three speed tork in 1970 and 1971 but I think in 1969 the G-1050 had the 585 diesel with a two speed tork. I have seen one like that a long time ago.

The G-1050 does not appear to have been tested at Nebraska. The G-900 with the 504 diesel was tested number 978 and produced 11,954 lbs of pull at 2.09 MPH turning 88 HP at 1800 RPMs and weighed 10,000 lbs.

Also the G-955 with the 504 engine was tested at number 1161 and produced 8,374 lbs of pull at 2.97 MPH turning out 91.43 HP at 1799 RPMs and weighed 12,000 lbs

I would thing the G-1050 would have simular tork and power ratings as these two tractors, given that is has the same engine and simular weight.

Thanks Shep ,this is a big help because at our local tractor pulls the AC and the JD seem to always clean up in the heavy class.So my brother and I have a chance to purchase a 1050 so we can be competitive and have some fun.

Stock engine for (diesel)
1000,1050 are 504 cubes
1350,1355 are 585 direct injection
900,950
,955 are 451 cubes GO WITH A 585 ENGINE OR LP GAS FOR BEST RESULTS

I think you are right Kevin, my book does not give the ci on the engines on these tractors and I was trying to remember what they all had in them, but I belive that the 900, 950 and 955 did have the 451 and not the 504 like I thought.

The Nebraska test results I gave are still correct for those tractors, but the 1050 would have been closer to the g-1000 nebraska test number 953 that showed 14,218 lbs of pull at 1.17 MPH at 1798 RPM's and putting out 102 HP and weighing in at 10,600 lbs.

So the 1050 is a little more powerful than I first thought, better for your pulling Larry.
