Can somebody tell me the part number for the engine rebuild kit for a ZA? I need complete set of gaskets, rings, and bearings.

What is the cheapest source for these?

Also, can somebody tell me the individual part numbers for the gaskets, rings, and bearings? I might be able to buy these direct from the manufacture if I can come up with the part numbers.

I was looking over one bearing and it had the number 2185 CP FM 62 stamped into it. Does this make any sense?

Regards,

John

The manufacturers only sell to distributors, wholesalers, and other companys. You will need to get a sales tax license from your state and buy your items in quanitys for starters. This is why you have dealers and parts stores. Be careful on being to cheap as the parts may lack quality (like some import socket sets). I would suggest to buy from a dealer that sells quality parts at a fair price. If posible buy from your local dealer because if you dont they may not be there when you need them.

FYI,

One of my friends owns a parts store and he was going to let me get the parts through him at his cost. So I won't need any of the items you listed.

John

I believe the 62 is most likely the year of the bearings. Sometimes they dated them.

John,
2185 CP is the Federal Mogul bearing number for a rod bearing. There should be STD, 010, 020, 030 also stamped into it to indicate what size it is. I'm not aware of anyone offering a rebuild kit for Moline Z's. I usually get the rings from Hastings. Victor makes a gasket set I believe. I get my gaskets from AGCO or NAPA usually. The front roller crank bearing is an MA-1212-EL. The only main bearing set # I have is 4176M but I think that's all 3 bearings for the later series 206 engine. The rear shell should be the same.
