Just bought a 59 GB, The hydraulic remote cylinder will not hold the plow up it leaks down. I have heard that the moline system uses check valves in the remote cylinder to prevent this. Is this true? Do I have to find a moline cylinder and where? Can I put check valve in the lines to my cylinder. Please help. Thanks Morgan Heaton

Yes, that's MM's better way. I've heard Welter's sells a check valve that you can install in your lines between the valve and cylinder so you can use a regular cylinder. 417-498-6496

Thanks for the post. I dont realy understand how a check valve would work, I mean the oil would have to flow back the other way when I want to go back down. Could you explain this to me? Does it take a special valve or have I overlooked something. Please help me out.

Go to-- www.surpluscenter.com Then click on hydraulic--- then scrol down to Accessory valves---- then click on Check/lock valves-- then scrol down to lock valve 1/2 port Item # I 9-1343 this will work to hold your cylinder up. It is a 2 way lock valve. It opens and closes under hydraulic presaure. Larry

If you don't have a MM cylinder you can put check valves in your lines. It will work the same as if on the cylinder. Larry

Moline does use check valves in the cylinder. Repair kits are available through AGCO.
