My Dad has a ZA that won't run, and I'd like to get it going for him (with him). It isn't getting any spark at the spark plugs, so inititial problem being in the distributor or before. Any help on troubleshooting?

It's a positive ground, right?

Todd,
The ZA series was 6 volt positive ground from the factory. I would check to see if you're getting power to the coil when you turn on the ignition switch. If not, install a jumper wire from the battery to the coil and see if you have spark. Check the points to be sure they are clean and not corroded. Replace them and the condensor if they look at all questionable.

Be sure if you replace the points, you set the gap to .020.
