I have aquired two MMs. One I am quite sure is a ZAS. The orther one I think is a ZAU, its SN is 00611100. Can anyone confirm that? Also what does the Labling ZAS, Or ZAU mean? Where can I go to get more information? Thanks

John,
Serial 00611100 is a 1952 ZAU. Bob is right with the U & S designation in the model. There is also an E for extendable wide front, I for industrial, and N for single front wheel. ZA was the model of tractor that replaced the ZT series and was replaced by the ZB series. Searching the archives is a good place to start here on YTMag or go to>Link
There>Link are a couple good books on the market too for Molines. I recommend The Minneapolis-Moline Buyers Guide by Brian Rukes or Minneapolis-Moline Farm Tractors by Peterson and Beemer.

John, try a search in the archives on this site under "model designation" (or combination of it) as I know someone in the past had asked and a reply returned with an excellent explanation of what all the model letters mean.

I know only a little as I'm kinda' new to the Moline family myself, but the "S" means standard (non-adjustable) tread and the "U" means narrow (tricycle) front end.
