I have a GBD with 18.4x34 tires on it. From former owners that farmed with these, I was told that they had 16.9s on them. I remember seeing original 50's pictures with small 34s. Was 18.4 an option? Just curious. Also my old UTS I am selling has 16.9x30. Did UTS have 18.4 availiable when new as well? I don't have literature on either GBD or UTS tire options.

All the GB tractors here in rice country had 18/23.1 X 26 tires. Never saw one with 34's down here.

The GBD's came with 14/34 or 15/34 tires. They also came with a 26 inch tire, I think 18/26, not sure . I'll have to look in the owners manuel for that if you like. Glenn

Thanks Glenn. I have seen the 26 inch tractors before. Not very common I guess eh. Thanks for the info. Just looking at maybe pulling and we are allowed one size over stock or standard regulation sizes. GBD might be decent for pulling, but the motor is stock. 7500lbs?

I pull a GB LP in 7000,7500, 8500,and sometimes 9500. I have firestone 18.4x34 (same as 15X34 I think?). It is a good size tire for these classes, I don't plan on switching. I have them on the stock 14" rim. that would be the only thing I would consider changing,(to a 16" rim).

I have been through this alot. The rules where I pull say the same thing. I go by 15/34's, one size over is a 20.8/34. Man do they get upset when they see the firestone 23 degrees 20.8's. Word of warning, be prepared, get an orginal owners manuel that shows the tire sizes availible and it will save you alot of hassel.make sure it's for a GB. We pull ours from the 7000 up as high as 13,000. We could go higher but we ran out of places to, hang weights. Good luck, Glenn
