Does anybody have a picture of a U, UB, Z, ZB, or even an R with a 3 point hitch on it. I would like to add a 3 point hitch to my 1954 UB and would like to see how others have done it. Thanks for all your help.

I have a UB with 3 point. It says MM on it but that doesn't always make it factory. the rock shaft arms got through the cultivator lift bushings under the platform. It has two lift cylenders. It has short hoses with pioneer couplings that you plug into the tractor when you are using it and unplug when your using an implement cylender.

Someone made cat 1 3 point kits for UB's & ZB's back when. Don't know if they were made by MM or someone else but a dealer had 2 of them still bundled together with wire in the mid 70's. They attached to the cultivator lifting roll to lift and had brackets that bolted to the original hitch assembly to attach the pull arms. I can't remember what the top link attaching bracket looked like, but there was one. I also don't remember if they floated or had down pressure.

I have never been able to find them in any of the moline parts books nor have I ever seen a piece of liturature on them from someone else.

Maybe some has ?????

John

There was a ZB with 3-point on it at the Plain City Ohio show back in the 90's. The owner said it was factory. parts of the lifting linkage resembled similar parts on a MM BG. Float was achieved in the same way, by removing a pin in the linkage.
There was a rumor on the MM website (2-3 years ago) that the last 50 ZB's had 3-point from the factory.
