Jetstar 206L pistons?

I made a post to this on the MM website.. What size overbore are you currently .060 over? If you are at 3-5/8 .060, you can bore these blocks up to 3-3/4 .060.

Welters has pistons 3-3/4 .060. Everett's in Ohio has 3-3/4 pistons available as well. If you are already at 3-3/4 .060, then all you can do is sleeve it back or find another set of blocks to work with.

If you go to 3-3/4 then you end up using a U302 head gasket instead of the stock gasket for the 206L engine.

3-5/8 = 3.625 in decimal (standard bore for 206L.)
3.625 + .060 is 3.685

3-3/4 = 3.750 in decimal (standard bore for U302 220cu.in.)
3.750 + .060 is 3.810

The way I see it, if your pistons are 3-5/8 + .060, you can either find some worn-out smaller bore blocks and have them bored to fit your old pistons-If the wrist pins are still tight. Or
You can bore the blocks you have to 3.750 and use standard bore U302 3-3/4" pistons. There might be a rod length to consider, I don't know for sure.
I would only bore to 3-3/4" + .060 as a last resort.

If one were going to bore that big, then one would have to find a beefier set of blocks at the base. There is some difference in them as the set of blocks I bought this weekend are thicker in the skirt material.

I am just going to take this new set of blocks I have and bore them to 3-5/8 .040 oversize. They look pretty good except for some slight surface rust on them. I am going to clean them up tonight to get a better look at them.
