Opinions On These Tractors (Long)

I'm looking at some tractors and would like some opinions on them as well as any info or suggestions. The guy is a private guy so i'd rather not name name's. This is a long message, so please bare with me.

One is a 1960 MM G-VI LP. The guy said that the motor is loose, it is complete, and it is out of gas so he's not sure if it runs. He thinks it should run with some fuel and a set of batteries. The sheetmetal looks decent, fenders are a little rough around edges and I think there might be some small holes in the fenders. There is no 3pt, looks like there is a MM pto cover on it, and the hydraulic hoses are laying on the back and don't look like they are hooked up. Also, their is a left rear flat and their are no hood decals on it. Looks to be a wheel weight on the left rear. The rest of the tractor looks good but don't know about the engine. No lights on fenders. Their is a muffler on it but no rain cap. Looks like it has a power steering leak.

The next one is a 1961 MM M-5 diesel. It runs, has a entendable wfe, hydraulics, fenders, pto, and no 3pt. It needs batteries and seat cushions. Looks like it has 38's in the back. All the tires are up, sheetmetal is good except the grille is slightly pushed in, and the hood also doesn't have any decals. It looks more yellow than it's supposed to be though. It's got a good muffler and raincap on it, so the engine may be pretty good. It also has all the lights. The guy said it smokes some and not sure on oil consumption. It looks like the tractor has been well tooken care of though. It looks like it has the normal leaks around the power steering and some on the engine.

The next one is a 1961 MM M-5 Gas. The engine is stuck, it has a standard front end, pto, hydraulics, fenders, and no 3pt. Looks like it has the 15-30's or 14-30's in the back. Sheetmetal looks good, a little surface rusting around the manifold area, and it has the hood decals. It looks like there is a can over the exhaust but who knows how long it's been there. Looks like it has the famous power steering leak and a grease leak on the back right of the engine. I never asked the guy a lot about this one.

Next is a 1964 MF 97 diesel. The engine is loose but not running. It has a standard front end, power steering, pto, hydraulics, fenders, and front lights. The sheetmetal looks ok except the back parts of the fenders and the grille bars having dents. They could probably be easily pounded out. Looks like there is a little exhaust pipe sticking out of it. It also has what looks to be fairly fresh fram filters on it. It also has the MM air cleaner on it, on the outside of the hood, versus the MF air cleaner mounted inside the hood. I think that's the way they were though. The guy said that the injectors are out at the moment, have been set up(????), and need to be reinstalled. Is this a good thing? Wonder how long they have been out? The atmosphere can get inside the engine and cause it to stick again.

Lastly there is a MF 95 Super Diesel with a standard front end. The motor is stuck, it has hydraulics, not sure about pto. It looks complete and it has a muffler with a rain cap on it. The sheetmetal looks good (bad pictures) except for the back on the right fender. Their looks to be some grease under the seat so maybe their is a pto on it. Never talked to the guy about it.

There are also a couple of gas ExtFE 4 Stars, one that runs with pto, incomplete 3pt or just a lifting roll, possibly a rear belt pulley, and rough sheetmetal, other has a stuck motor with possibly fixable sheetmetal and some strange thing over the pto housing and a strange drawbar.

Wheeeew! Eye's are tired. Hopefully you will read this and give me some opinions on them, or some info. I've got some pictures of them but can't post them all on here. I would really like to start getting into the bigger tractors, and could use something for the farm as well. Does anyone know if the diesel's can be turbo-d on any of these, as they might end up being pulled if I do get one or two. Can the G-VI LP be modded or anything? What would make a good pulling tractor, or a farm tractor? Do the hand clutches on the G-VI's and the MF's work good? Any of these rare, special, or nice to have? Any problems with any of them?

He said he would sell the tractors as he saw them and how he bought them unless they have done work to them. He also says that he buys 90 % of his tractors over the phone and many are sold the same way he found them and no guarantee.

He said the only tractor that he's heard ran is the M-5 diesel. He wants me to drive up there and use my own judgement on them. I don't know, MapQuest shows around 225 miles and 5 hrs (mph???). Don't know if I want to pay $1k's for something that may end up being bad. I think the only ones that i'm really interested in are the G-VI and the Massey's, due to the relationship between the two of them.

I've also located a G-705 Diesel with cab. Don't know the condition since I just found it. Looks complete except for the lights, as far as the front half is concerned. Their is also a Massey Ferguson 97 Diesel, 1155, and a 2805. Also their's two M5's, a UB, and a ZB but am not interested in those. Just mainly the newer and bigger, constellation series and up.

Any one know what these tractors that I have listed would be worth? I really would like to know more about them!
