Does any body know where to begin looking for a Comforttractor???? It looks like a car with a 40 m.p.h. road gear. If anybody knows anything please let me know. Thanks,
Rob

You might try this guy. I don't know when the listing was actually posted but it may be worth a call.

There was a rough one on a trailer at the show in Lennox, SD back in early August. Don't recall if it was for sale or not, but it would have taken a lot of work and $weat to get it back in shape.

Deep pockets is the key statement. Serial number one UDLX sold for $98,000 in Iowa. Another UDLX sold about a month earlier in Texas for the small token of around $80,000 I think it was.---deadeye

But I just know there's one in the back corner of some old barn somewhere, and the widow just wants someone to haul it away. . .

There were actually 2 on trailers at the Lennox show, both needed $$$$$$$$$$$$, but 1 could have followed me home & I wouldn't mind!!! I'm still looking for the one WAY back in the barn!!

Rob,
I was at a sale last weekend and saw a UDLX on an auction bill for a sale coming up on November 1 in Belleville, Illinois. Can't remember owners name or auction company having it, but I am sure in the next month or so, someone will post it. There was a picture on the sale bill of the UDLX, it was restored and looked nice. Just something to think about, but if you go, you better have deep pockets.

I would say having deep pockets would be the best start. Other than that, there are occasional UDLX (Comfort tractors) available on collector's estate auctions. I have also seen a few for sale in classified ad sections of several antique tractor websites. It's kind of like searching for the proverbial "needle in a haystack", but good luck anyway.
