Did they make more G1000 Row Crops than they did Wheatlands?

a gas g1000 would cost a small forture to farm with-lp gas is good if you have equipment to fuel them---i grew up on a 67/g1000-diesel-wmw tubro--a 69/vista diesel---i would much rather use a row crop-w-pto;w/front eng loade;it was very usefull on a dairy farm, from feild work to,hammerhill-feed work ,silage cutting to baling hay---that old tractor didnt see a day off until my mother sold it in 74----also i looked a g1000-lp last year-with factory duals-got on the old gal & took her for a spin, the owner said it looks like you know alittle about these ,i said i grew up on them--ran a g1000 after school& any other time growing up a on a woking dairy,i miss the sound of that mm engine pulling late at nite;that before tractor w/cabs--yes i have worked on them-be around other makes models, but in my opinion--a g1000-row crop,wheatland--is one of the best iron made/thanks ,ron

Dave,
Depends how you look at it. If you include Vista models with the Row Crop models then they made more Row Crops than Wheatlands. If you count Vista models seperate from Row Crop then they made more Wheatland models than either Vistas or Row Crops individually.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Row Crop gas/LP 1051
Row Crop Diesel 1300
Vista LP 564
Vista Diesel 1596
Wheatland LP 822
Wheatland Diesel 2050

Don't forget the gas G1000, and the few gas Vista's they were lumped in with the Lp tractors

Yeah, thank you. I was just considering buying a G1000 and am not quite sure which would be rarer. I know neither model are rare... But I am kind of leaning towards a wheatland, they are a mean tractor!!!

Dave,
We've got a 66 G1000 Row Crop Diesel and a 68 G1000 Vista Diesel. Both great tractors. Haven't picked up a Wheatland yet. Not too popular here in Michigan. Would like to find a 66 Wheatland diesel. We really like the color scheme used in 1966.

Brian,

There is an auction this weekend (Sept. 13, 10 am) in Norwalk, Ohio for a brown belly G1000 wheatland diesel. Go the www.donsweetingauctioneer.com go the auction listings on left side then go to Mowry auction. They have a good picture of the tractor.

David,
Thanks, I was planning to go but didn't realize they had a web page with pics. Looks clean.

The G1000 tractors with the dyna brown really look good. They seperate a whole different era of MM power. The all yellow ones are very nice, but I would like a brown belly any day of the week. I ran a G1000 row crop back in the early 80s and it was still a fairly modern powerhorse then. I just want to stick one in the barn and rub it with a shammy cloth.
