Ok guys, I need some cylinder head help.

Alright, so my search for ZA cylinder head 10A2647 has not been so great. I was wondering if any of you nice folk who were in on my discussion posting a while back about how many different heads went on the ZA and R could help me out. Since I havent been able to buy a 10A2647 I think I will make one out of one of the many RE226C heads I have. I only have one problem, I need to know what the measurments are for the combustion chamber protrusions. So, would it be possible for any of you lucky 10A2647 owners to take a few pictures of your head, particularily th combustion chamber protrusions?? I will also need to know what the measurements are for them. I know this is asking a lot, but I think this is my last option.

I have some spare cylinder heads sitting in the shop.. I have never bothered to look at them to see what casting #'s they are. I'll check.. If happen to have one, I'll be glad to sell it. No promises as they are probably the RE versions.

If you are talking about welding one up and cutting it to specs it's tricky buisness. By welding all the compresion bulges on the inside, the natural shrinkage as the weld cools will pull the head out of square. You could easily run into cracking problems as well. You might look for a shop with a stress releaving oven.

Don't weld on head drill and tap to bolt on iron to get comp. ratio you are looking for. Man on other post is leading you in right direction head will warp and mild steel will will not weld to cast and stay on very long with it heating and cooling Bolt it on.
