getting a 602 started

My neighbor was asked to get a 602 MM started that had been sitting for about 3 years. We replaced points, condenser, rotor and dist. cap. We seem to be getting weak fire at the spark plugs. We are unable to get it started. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Gas or LP? Weak spark?, is the coil good enough? Is it getting fuel? How's the compression? Maybe low voltage if you are "jumping" a low battery. I'd try the low voltage 1st, fuel 2nd or 1st. If you think it's a voltage problem and have a good battery, try pulling it in 4th, high side of TA. 3 years, could be bad gasoline.

Thanks for the suggestions. We pulled the carb and drained the tank. We hope that's enough.
