I bought an old BF and I am trying to find the serial number and other info about it. There is a tag on the motor, but I can't make sense of it.

What is the approx. HP?

Book says 24.12 drawbar and 27.12 belt Nebraska test 469
Look on frame, right side near rear wheel for a stamped # It may start with an R ####

I have a 1953 MM-BF and there is a tag on the right side of the frame rail. The number is 577000031.

The 1952 was stamped on the right frame rail near the back on the top of the rail with R-4460 - R6537. Some of the 1953 were also R-6538 - R-7571

Thanks I found it - It is R6329 So guess this means it is a 1952 model.
