I recently dragged a MM side rake out of some brush and it is in excellent condition for it's age. It has some red and some gold paint still on it and it has Two large steel wheel's in the front and two small steel wheel's in the back.It has a large decal over the gear cover that say's MM farm equipment. It does'nt tell what model it is. Anyone who can give me info on this rake or head me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. By the way I greased it all up and have used it and it work's great.

You have an OMA rake like Alan said. If you look under the gear cover, you will be able to determine what type of rake you have. If you have an enclosed gear case, you have a straight rake. If the gears are open, you have a rake / tedder combination and you can reverse the direction of the tines with the lever mounted on the front frame rail. The two styles of OMA rakes had different teeth as well. The rake / tedder has straight teeth while the straight rake has angled teeth.

If you are interested in getting more information on this rake, I have an extra manual.

I believe that I too have a MM hay rake. This one has "MM" cast into the gear cover. The spokes on both the front and rear wheels are still yellow.
You call them "OMA", what does that mean?
Also interested in manual or other info.
Thanks, Gary

Sounds like a "OMA" model. We have one I restored. They were available with a tedder also. Is it a 3 bar or a 4 bar? Nice rake.

Yes, it's a 4 bar rake, it has a sheild over the gear's but no actual gear box. It has 3 position's to put in gear but it dosen't seem to ted. Perhap's I'm doing somthing wrong. It does adjust to change the angle of the teeth.I think as I get the time I"ll restore it.
