Does anyone know the exact years of manufacture for the entire line of Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company tractors? How about any general production or serial number information?

MTM made 13 different models of tractor according to "Minneapolis-Moline Farm Tractors" by Peterson & Beemer. They also state that "MTM serial numbers were in sequence from the first serial number they used for tractors on through production regardless of what model happened to exit the assembly line." The only numbers they list are serial 9550 to 10681 as being models 39-57 & 30-50 from 1928-1929 but a disclaimer states that these serial numbers "are not presented as the only copies made."

Hope this answers your question.

Brian

How many different Minneapolis tractor models were there and what years were they manufactured? I know that they made a 35-70 and 17-30 Type A and B, but I don't know the years that they or any other MTM tractors were built.

Thanks Brian, this information is exactly what I was looking for. Since MTM was using consecutive serial numbers on every tractor they made, what is the highest serial number that you or anyone else has ever seen for an MTM tractor?

Sorry, haven't seen many MTM tractors around SE Michigan. I didn't pay attention to serial #s of the few I've seen at shows either.
