Value of G-1000 Gas

I saw a very nice G-1000 gas at a JD dealer in my area. 2400 hours (so the meter said), appears to have fresh paint, metal is straight, rear tires cracked but have decent tread. It has what looks to be the original owners manual in the toolbox. They are asking about $9000 for it. Seems a bit high for a gasser. What is it really worth?

For the same money ($9,000.00) I will put you in the seat of a PAIR of G-900's. One is GASOLINE and the other diesel. Located 60 miles East of St. Louis, Mo.

The tractor is listed at machinefinder.com. If you search for g1000 at zip code 61032 that will get you right to it. Unfortunately there is only one picture, taken from the rear quarter.

I would think 5000 would be plent, for a reg. gas tractor. At least for me .

One thing: I would think very few G1000 came from the factory on gasoline. At least thats what I understand when you describe it as 'G1000 gas'. It would be a reall gas guzzler, too.

I didn't look at the thing too closely, more out of curiousity than anything. But I don't recall seeing a propane tank on the thing (it would be obvious, wouldn't it?), and it sure looked like a carburetor there on the manifold.

I believe I once heard that less than (50) G-1000 gas tractors were built so it would be quite rare.
