Value of old Z

I inherited an old Z with my acreage - around 1950 I guess. I'm an AC guy otherwise and I wish to sell the Z. It runs and the engine sounds great. The cultivator lift seems strong, but the cultivator is in a heap. It uses a generic cylinder that is hard plumbed. My understanding is that MM put the check valve is in the cylinder and that is why this doesn't stay up. Is this true? I have the original cylinder, but I assume something is wrong or it would still be on. The sheet metal is rough, the muffler just lays on top of the hood, the gas tank filler is PVC, and it has a bottle of Mylanta as the sediment bowl. If I put a top on the PVC, it will suck down the lid, vapor lock, and stop running after 4-5 minutes. If I keep the lid loose and forget it, the gas tank will collect rain. It was in this way that I learned the engine will still run on 3-2 water - amazing. I put an add here and received no responses. None. Nada. Would I be better off selling this for parts? What are the chances anyone is interested? I've been storing it in the shed, but I'm going to need the room soon. I would rather not permantly store this in God's garage. Scrapping will probably cost me money. Any ideas? I also have chains and a brush mower rigged to work with the lift arms.

Thanks guys - I accepted an offer for $700, which seemed like a fair price based on the info you all provided. The buyer is intending on fixing the old Z up like new again. Here was the photo, in case you missed it in photo ads.

Except that this is the third time. I did photo ads once and did get 1 call, but he was interested in straight sheet metal and didn't care about the engine - sort of the opposite of my situation. I'll take a picture tomorrow and try the photo ads. The photo ads can get burried pretty deep in two days - I think someome, somewhere decides to sell the old JD B about every 10 minutes.

I know - I know ; we are pretty tough on 'strays' at unofficial allis as well. I wanted a wide front utility and found a D-14 close by. A bit easier to find than a Super Jet Star 3. Anyway, thanks for the pricing tip. I'll lower my price when I do the photo ad.

all joking asside the allis is a nice machine ive had them the molines are awsome too i have them as well a lot dependes on area of country verse price market it well and take some time

I'm not sure what it would be worth up your way, but around here(Sounthern Indiana), without seeing it, you may be able to get up to 600 out of it according to the facts you posted. The old Molines usually don't bring a whole lot of money for some reason. But I just saw an auction on here the other day and it was amazing the prices some of those tractors brought. They look really good when you get them all painted up though. My grandpa and I just finished a MM ZA and it is almost the pride of the shop.
