I would like to know if there is any way to get a little more power out of the 451,it has around 4100 hours, runs good but I would like a little more horse. Can a 451 take a turbo,or would I end up with a dead minnie?

Yes, a 451 can take a turbo, but how much boost do you want to put thru it? By just putting a turbo on it and with modest boost with no more fuel you should probably see about 8-10 horsepower jump. Is that going to pay for your investment? All diesels can benefit from extra air. you could also put on 504 heads and cylinders for more power which will not be cheap either. There was a guy on one of the chat pages saying he did that. Also just turning up the pump can give small amounts of power increase with no great effect on fuel consumption. But you got to use your head with that idea or all you will get is a smoking pig.
