Paint color for 1926 Minneapolis 17-30

We are at the beginning stages of restoration of a 1926-29 (?) Minneapolis 17-30 cross engine. Obviously the main portion of the machine is a gray color. But what color/shade of gray? The wheels appear to be red; but what color/shade of red? We have noticed that one project has the fenders in green. How and where do we find such information?

I have also been using Painters touch Dark Grey in my Twin City 17-28. It was an exact match to the traces of original paint left on the tractor.

I too am also in the process of restoring a Mpls 17-30 Type B tractor. I looked at one owned by an older gentleman that he restored in 1959. It had enough of the original colors on that time so he could tell what the original colors were. The tractor is dark gray except for the wheels which are red (looks like MM red on MM U, Z, R, & G rear wheels) and the TOP OF THE FENDERS ONLY which are a dark green (believed to be Forest Green) the rest of the fenders are dark gray. I have been using Painter's Touch Dark Gray (by Rustoleum) to paint dissembled parts before I put them back on the tractor. That is the darkest gray I can find in a spray can. I am not sure what I will use when I spray the tractor after final assembly. My tractor no. is 5655 beleived to be a 1925. My friend's is in the 7700 range-he believes it to be a 1926.
