Will a G-900 turn on 6 rows?

Considering buying a G-900 Row Crop. What I would like to know is, will I be able to turn sharp enough to be able to cultivate corn with a 6 row narrow cultivator? I had a 1070 Case that you couldn't turn and take the next 6 rows. Will the 900 turn sharp enough that this won't be a problem? Also, are they a pretty good unit in general?

I pulled a 6 row IH 400 air planter for many years with both a 1968 or 1969 G-900 MM's.Also cultivated with them too.Other tractors may turn a little shorter but I got by OK.I put the batteries down on the side and moved the fenders and tires plum in.They are a great old tractor.One of the best MM's ever built.

If a 1070 could't cut it, don't expect a 900 to. I have and love 2 G-900's, but I will be the first to admit that they will not out turn a 1070. I have run 6 row planter with 1070 and felt it to be better than even M-670 super Moline. (70 hp). I have also run 7-30" pull type anhydrous applicator with 2290 Case. Are you planting 18 row headlands??? I finally started to make it easier harvesting (after years of 12 row headlands)

I have been thinking about an old dealer film I have on the G-1000. The 1000 in the film is pulling a finishing implement with 6 row planter behind. On the headland, the famous "lightbulb turn" is used to get this train of machinery in position for the next pass down the field. Something to consider if you really want to buy this 900. I would like to cultivate with a 900 myself before condemming their ability to do so. I can remember neighbors using their 1000 Vista with 6 row.

whats turn got to do with it; yank up the cult. and as the front gets real lite spin the wheel and stomp the brake, as the front comes around drop the cult as you line up and let it drag you straight as you spin the steering wheel back to the center. plowed lots of corn and beans with a 4 row and boy could you mess up big time if you missed your timing.

Only problem with this theory is that it is gonna take a bigger cultivator to get a 900 "real lite" before you stomp the brake.
