Hi all, I am looking to buy a tractor with a rear wheel spacings of no more than 38''. It is for special nursery work, the only thing I found is an expensive Kubota. Did the MM 335 have a narrow enough spacing, or did they make a utility that had one that narrow? Any input at all is greatly appriciated!!!! Thanks a ton

I don't think MM ever made anything that narrow. A MM V might be that narrow (front fits between fender wells on a pickup)but I think the rear wheel spacing is wider, and its only 9-10 hp, no 3-pt.

There was the French built VRTE, but its extremely rare and no 3-point.

I'm guessing that you want a 3-point and probably 15-24 hp.

There was an article in Antique Power some years back about an extremely narrow Ferguson. The article was about someone who converted them for vinyard work, but I think it said that the English (TE-20?) Ferguson was offered in a narrow version also.

Your best bet to find a real narrow tractor at an affordable price, used, might be to get one of those imported Yanmar trade-ins, from Japan.

john deere made some vinyard tractors. made in germany with french engines i think. much better quality than yanmar. I have a booklet at home on one of them. they can be so narrow you think it would fall over on a hill.
